Let me know in the comments if any of this resonates with you.
If you’d like to be part of a support community I’m exicted to share that Brush Flow will soon be opening. I normally only do this once of twice a year. Join Brush Flow Waitlist

Thank you Michelle, it is so good to hear you talk about the importance and benefits of community including our online community for both yourself and your students.
A few years ago I attended an in person watercolour course for one evening a week for ten weeks. This was very supportive and the tutor helpful. However once the course finished the community dissolved. I tried to continue painting but was relying on comments from family.
Then last year I attended a 3 day acrylics Couse organised by the SWI. The tutor, Sarah, really bonded with her 12 students and we have kept in touch via WhatsApp . We had the best of supportive learning environment for those 3 days and met up again in February for another day at Sarah’s home. I had continued to paint following her teaching as I joined a local art group. There I was amongst others who could spend a day just painting. It has been good to be part of his community. So much so that I tentatively refer to myself as an artist. Something I never thought I would do.
Your Vibrant Visions and now Brush Flow communities are really powerful and I am feeling so much more confident in applying paint myself and commenting on the application of others. I enjoy looking to see who is posting their work and feel part of this community of like minded individuals who are all developing as artists, yet I will never meet them. Thank you
Thank you so much Jane for sharing your story and the importance of how community has been beneficial to you. It really is to important to be around like-minded people who understand what we are doing.
It’s so wonderful having you inside Vibrant Visions and Brush Flow, you are a valued member and I love seeing your work.
Thanks for this Michelle, it certainly does resonate with me. After I finished Vibrant Visions I felt that I had such a huge gap, the support from you and the others taking part was sorely missed. I love your way of teaching and how supportive you are and wanted to learn more about expression and colour and gain confidence. luckily you were soon opening Brush Flow for joining and I did on the yearly basis.
Belonging to Brush Flow is part of my life now and has given me the encouragement and drive I need to become part of a wonderful learning and supportive community with you helping and supporting us along the way. My painting and understanding of colour and form has grown so much. You have opened up aspects of art that I had no knowledge of at all. I look at the work of everyone and can the beauty of each piece and how much everyone has grown since becoming part of your community.
I hope to belong here in Brush Flow for many more years. x
Rita you are just so lovely and such a wonderful person, I’ve loved teaching and sharing with you and you are such a light inside the Brush Flow community. I love our little chats when we have our live sessions x
Thanks for an awesome video, Michelle. I can say that the Brush Flow community has been a huge positive in my painting journey! I really enjoyed this “studio chat” format. Thanks again for sharing. And the painting was fantastic!
Thanks so much for the feedback Dan, it’s always nice to hear especially when you’re trying a new format.
It’s lovely having you in the Brush Flow community and seeing all your progression.
Hi Michelle,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share Studio Chats with us, I really enjoyed listening to you speaking about the importance of being part of a community.
I think our on line Vibrant visions group are so lovely and so supportive and really appreciate their comments
I totally get the need to spend time with other artists. To be able to hang out with likeminded souls, to chat or paint and learn from each other is the best thing ever.
We have a loose group who meet up in the library once a week and work on our pieces and have the chats ( so important!, we talk about upcoming exhibitions, art fairs where we can exhibit our work and sometimes we plan a field trip)
Thank you Michelle for your musings on art and shared learning. Community is everything isn’t it! I think YouTube,Facebook and webinars are wonderful for gathering like minded people together to share and encourage each other. Personal groups that support each are even better.
Brush Strokes sounds wonderful!
Thank you so much. Yes community is so important and it’s so much more accessable these days. Yes Brush Flow is an amazing and supportive community : )
