I’m so excited to introduce something new to our community – Creative Play Sessions!

These aren’t your typical painting tutorials or step-by-step guides. Instead, they’re all about giving you the freedom to explore, experiment, and discover what happens when you let your creativity lead the way.

Here’s how it works: I’ll give you a simple prompt – just a gentle starting point, nothing complicated or overwhelming. From there, it’s completely up to you how you interpret and explore that idea. There’s no right or wrong way, no “technique” you need to master, and definitely no pressure to create something that looks like anyone else’s work.

The whole focus is on the process, not the outcome. It’s about that wonderful feeling of not knowing exactly where your painting is heading and being excited to find out. Maybe the prompt will inspire you to play with certain colours, or perhaps it’ll spark a memory or emotion that you want to capture. You might find yourself trying mark-making techniques you’ve never attempted before, or simply enjoying the meditative process of moving paint around what ever surface you’re working on.

At the end of our session, anyone who’s happy to can share what they’ve created. I absolutely love seeing how the same simple suggestion can lead to such wonderfully different explorations. It’s a beautiful reminder that we all see and feel things differently, and that’s what makes art so magical.
